Happy Labor Day to my favorite readers! How was everyone’s last hurrah before the full swing of fall hits in a couple of weeks? Since I’m delaying the thought of going back to work tomorrow, I’m reminiscing on my own weekend. My bestie and I took off on a quick getaway before both of our schedules picked up. Where did the summer go!? After a few planning-filled lunch dates, we decided to head to her fam’s mountain cabin not too far from home.

Yep, you could say our planning looked something like this, always with tea and laughing involved. We wanted to keep it a low-key girls weekend so our getaway consisted of a spa day, downtown shopping and a home-cooked dinner in. It was perfect! Since we were headed out of town anyway, we stopped by a Tanger Outlets along the way to do a little shopping. Although we really weren’t planning on being out, I couldn’t possibly forgo a new outfit. I saw this beautiful shot and knew I had to try and create something similar! I already had dark flare jeans and was able to find a cream sweater at Ann Taylor Factory Store and a shearling jacket (very in right now) from Saks OFF 5th. I always score at Tanger.

Once we got to the mountains, the weekend was pure bliss from then on. The spa was incredible, it was just what we needed and I now have a new obsession with cucumber mint water :-). I wore my new outfit while we shopped downtown and we found the cutest antique store – you all would have loved it! After our spa and shopping day, nothing sounded better than a dinner back at the cabin. We were going for an outdoor oasis feel for dinner, so we set up on the picnic table outside. We didn’t quite accomplish a look as cute as the one below, but we were close!

If I do say so myself, I’d say we cooked a pretty tasty meal. Our boyfriends definitely would have been impressed. After dinner, it was a definite must to watch our fave screen girl, Kate Hudson, in How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days. The best way to end such a relaxing weekend.

Did you have any fun plans this past weekend? I hope you enjoyed your time just as much as I did! Before we know it we’ll be nearing the end of fall, ahh! Share your Labor Day photos with me on Instagram at @TangerOutlets using #TangerMillennial.
