Welcome to 2017! I hope you all had a great NYE. Mine was fab as I spent some much needed time with old friends.

I’ve been continuing my fitness fun and after a couple weeks, I’ve never felt better! Did you miss it? No worries, jump here!

Right now, it seems like all my friends are talking (and writing!) about “New Year’s Resolutions”. It’s hard to say, but this year, I’ve really been pondering what I want to take on in 2017. A new year is a time to renew (and also write the past year’s date on everything for about 3 months), but anyway, it’s something to celebrate! Think of it as a breath of fresh air.

This year, I’m looking to liven up my lifestyle. They say writing things down increases the likelihood they’ll actually come true, so I’m taking it one step further and sharing them with you (rhyme not intended, but accepted)!

#1: Phone Home!

I know it sounds horrible, but it always seems to slip my mind to call my mom or catch up with friends during the week. Knowing me, it can be tough to slow down. This year, I’m focusing on reaching out more often even if for a simple and short convo.

#2: Jet Off

Girls trips, two words I don’t hear often enough! People say, “there’s no better time to travel than when you’re young.” So, I’m going for it by planning plenty of trips. Stay tuned for the lowdown on trip #1 slated for Martin Luther King weekend!

#3: Chef Status

Alright, chef status might be stretching it a bit. But hey, you gotta start somewhere! I’m putting my thinking cap on and learning to cook this year. I’ll keep you updated on my first dish. 🙂 This salad would be perf for my health kick, right?

And you know I’ll refresh my cookware with a trip to Le Creuset Outlet, Kirkland’s Outlet, Kitchen Collection Outlet and maybe a few more… (Wish I would have started this list before Santa visited!)

#4: Redecorate

Something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now is redecorate. However, when it reaches the weekend, I think “hmm, wine night, movie night…” and well, end of story. I’m making sure I get around to freshening up my apartment this year. Remember this look from my Girls Night In?  I am going to actually make it happen.

#5: Slow Down!

Last but not least. I know for us busy bees, this can seem impossible. But trust me, it’s worth it! Read a chapter in a new book or take a second to think. My way of slowing down: coloring books! Adult coloring has become a new trend so try it out! You’ll be amazed at how refreshed you feel.

So what do you think? I can’t wait to kick off some of these resolutions. What are you looking to accomplish in the new year? Share with me by tweeting @TangerOutlets using #TangerMillennial!
